Avant Loader Proves Its Worth In Snow November 2010
Selwood only introduced the Avant wheeled loader into its fleet since July but already it is proving to be a success. The current weather conditions are making the loader even more popular and it recently came to the aid of Northumberland County Council Highways Department. A huge amount of snow has fallen recently in the Newcastle area and the Council were experiencing major problems with the footpaths. The Avant loader was hired to clear the footpaths and according to the Highways Manager was the “ideal tool for the job, it is compact and can easily be transported to problem areas”. Selwood’s Newcastle branch is now sourcing snow plough and blower attachments for future use in the area.
