Severn Trent Honour Selwood October 2007

At a recent Awards Dinner hosted by Severn Trent Water, Selwood were presented with an award “ ……to honour Selwood Pumps for their outstanding contribution in the Gloucester flooding incident 2007”.

Tony Wray, (right), Managing Director of Severn Trent, presented the Award to Selwood’s Key Account Manager, Jim Mendham.

Selwood has a CPA agreement with Severn Trent and was heavily involved in supplying pumps over several weeks during the floods in Gloucester. A variety of pumps were used from 8” diesel pumps to small hydraulic pumps and included a range of the company’s environmentally friendly super silent pumps. The pumps were supplied from five of the company’s nationwide branch network at Nottingham, Birmingham, Mancetter, Bristol and Bridgend.

As Jim Mendham commented, “this was a very traumatic time for many people and I am only pleased that we had the resources to help in a quick and efficient way”.
